When I was younger and working on my first startup, I mostly felt stressed.
"What if it doesn't work out? What if we don't manage to raise? What if we fail to hit a revenue goal? What if the company tanks?"
Those thoughts were plaguing me - as I was trying to get work done.
Everything felt like an uphill battle, with the odds stacked against me.
It wasn't fun. And I saw no end in sight.
Now, things are different
Now, almost 10 years later, things are different.
I'm mostly just enjoying the ride.
Even "boring" stuff like writing comparison pages (Glitter AI vs. the competition) is engaging.
It's not like I stopped worrying completely - I know Glitter may or may not work out.
I know that even though there's traction and happy paying customers - I'm very far from hitting my goals, and may not hit them at all.
But I'm much less stressed about it than I used to be.
What changed
My secret?
Focusing on the joy in the creativity.
Not the outcome.
The process itself, the work in the moment, is meaningful.
And nobody can take that away from me.
Whatever the outcome.
